A Theologian, Contemplative Scholar, Teacher, and Author

A contemplative way of life aspires to live each day honoring the sacred, recognizing the holiness of existence, striving to be love on earth, and opening one’s heart to the sorrow and the glory that is our world.

-BEVERLY LANZETTA

The path of healing embraces the paradox of existence, in all of its splendor and glory, in all of its questioning and travail.

Listen to Beverly as she explores contemporary spirituality in light of the challenges facing us and our planet today.

Let us bow in awe before the great mystery and the wonder of being alive in our precious bodies. As we rise each morning, let us marvel at the benevolence of the entire creation, pray before the beauty of the light, and offer our hearts to peace. We who are nurtured in the ecstasy of your holy womb and are born into the divinity of matter, may we become a force of joyful reconciliation. We, who are a miracle of compassion, just now coming to be. Amen.

RECENT WRITINGS

Like our spiritual fore bearers who fled to desert or mountain, these last years of worldwide tragedy have called us into the cave of the heart, where in solitude and often loneliness, many of us have entered a new dark night or inner dying. We too feel an anguish of heart over the cruelty and injustices that harm all creation. We too wonder: can our longing for contemplative peace be of benefit to others and soothe the tears of fire that pierce our souls?
